The world-leading company in the manufacturing and installation of Padel courts, Padel Galis, has reached an agreement with Flexipadel to produce and market a self-levelling base for padel courts that can be installed and moved to virtually any location without the need for permits or expensive foundation work.

Padel Galis, renowned worldwide for their excellence in court manufacturing and installation, has joined forces with Flexipadel to create a self-levelling base that redefines convenience and flexibility in padel court setup.

With this innovative solution, padel athletes and enthusiasts can enjoy top-quality courts that can be easily installed and relocated to virtually any location, all while minimizing the environmental impact.

This alliance signifies a game-changing moment in the padel industry, where Padel Galis’s expertise and Flexipadel’s ground breaking design combine to deliver an unmatched product. The self-levelling base removes the traditional barriers associated with court construction, opening up exciting possibilities for players, operators, and facilities.

“This partnership with Flexipadel is a monumental step,” says Juan Larraz, CEO at Padel Galis. “We are thrilled to bring a self-levelling base to the market, offering a level of flexibility and convenience never seen before in the industry.”

“Our journey with Padel Galis signifies a completely new era in padel court foundations,“ adds Marcus von Schantz, Director and co-founder at Flexipadel. “Their unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and the sport perfectly complements our vision. Together, we are poised to revolutionize the industry and set new standards for excellence.”

The cutting-edge solution is set to transform the padel court landscape, enabling effortless installation and relocation without the complexities of permits or costly foundation work.

Some of the advantages of the portable platform for which Flexipadel and Padel Galis have decided to bet on this alliance:

  • The installation does not alter or damage the surface on which it is installed.
  • It is self-leveling: it can be installed on surfaces with height differences of up to one meter.
  • The base can be placed in almost any location, including rooftops and beaches.
  • The base can be quickly assembled (in one day) and disassembled, facilitating the transfer of the court to a new location.
  • Being a portable installation, in most cases, it does not require a permanent construction permit, unlike conventional facilities.

As Padel Galis and Flexipadel embark on this pioneering journey, they invite the padel community and industry stakeholders to witness the revolution in padel court foundations.

Flexipadel is a pioneering Finnish startup specializing in innovative padel court platform design and manufacturing. Founded by a passionate team of experts in 2020, the company aims to push the boundaries of innovation, quality, and excellence in the padel industry. Their mission is to revolutionize padel court foundations, providing top-notch solutions that enhance the playing experience, even in challenging building locations.

Padel Galis and the Professional Padel Players Association (PPA) have worked together to develop a new court concept that has become a reality. The Spanish manufacturer, led by its chief engineer, Jaume Molina, and the collective of players, represented by its vice president, José Carlos Gaspar, have successfully created a court format with significant improvements. Some of the most notable changes include:

• Evolution in the mesh area design: the traditional mesh cover is removed to improve ball bounce uniformity and player safety by eliminating possible entanglements.

• The ultra-panoramic version provides maximum visibility for spectators, both in the stadium and during audiovisual broadcasts.

• Net posts may have a specific compartment for ball storage.

• Implementation of an innovative perimeter LED lighting system that allows uniform visibility across the entire playing area and an estimated 50% energy consumption reduction.

For the production of this new court, Padel Galis has partnered with Planet Power, a company specializing in lighting with over 30 years of experience. According to its CEO, Alfonso Martínez, “since we presented the initial versions of the luminaires during tests at the G6 Padel club in Santander, we’ve worked with Padel Galis to achieve the final result, of which we are very proud.”

José Carlos Gaspar, a professional player and vice president of the PPA, highly values the initiative and the achieved result: “From the beginning of the project, in collaboration with Padel Galis, we have successfully addressed the needs identified by players in competition. Teamwork has resulted in an innovative court that truly enhances the gaming experience and ensures the safety of paddle tennis players.”

For Jaume Molina, the engineer at Padel Galis in charge of development, the final product represents a milestone in several aspects: “We have managed to address clear needs in the practice of this sport while providing significant cost savings for paddle tennis clubs through efficient and sustainable measures.”

In this way, the Spanish manufacturer Padel Galis reaffirms its commitment to innovation and efficiency after eighteen years of developing padel tennis courts for professionals.

The CEO of the New Zealand company Pacific Padel, Julian Brown, and his partner and COO, Troy Flavell, have signed a distribution agreement with Padel Galis for the territory of New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands.

The agreement was signed in Valencia during a visit by Brown and Flavell (former member of the famous All Blacks) to our facilities, accompanied by Juan Larraz, CEO of Padel Galis World and Salva Segura, head of expansion.

Pacific Padel‘s main goal is to develop padel and actively participate in its growth in New Zealand by opening its own padel clubs (4 clubs planned for 2024, in the Auckland area) and by distributing and installing Padel Galis courts in other sports centres in Aotearoa, in Maori, ‘the land of the white cloud’.

According to the head of Pacific Padel, “padel has all the necessary elements to be successful in a market like the New Zealand market where sports in general are very popular,” said Julian Brown, “that’s why we’ve partnered with the best to offer New Zealanders the benefits of padel as it is played worldwide.

Juan Larraz highlighted the vision and professionalism of the Auckland team leading this joint project. “In addition, Pacific Padel will be able to count on the support of Padel Galis’ strategic partners such as Wilson and Fernando Belasteguín ‘Bela’, among others,” explained our CEO.

During their time in Spain, Julian Brown and Troy Flavell have taken the opportunity to visit several renowned padel clubs and enjoy the spectacular World Padel Tour Sixt Comunidad Madrid Master live. “Even in Valencia, we managed to play padel against Juan Larraz and Salva Segura, players who were really passionate and pushed us to the limit,” confessed the CEO of Pacific Padel on his Instagram account.

“We’re very excited to be working with our partner Padel Galis and their team. And we’re looking forward to sharing the latest news with our fellow New Zealanders about the opening of our first four padel clubs (North, Central, West and East) in Auckland, which will feature courts from the world’s leading Valencian padel player,” stated Brown.

The Valencian manufacturer specialising in padel courts, Padel Galis, closed the 2022 financial year with record figures in turnover, exports and number of employees, demonstrating the consolidation of the company founded by Fran Pérez Galisteo more than a decade ago as an international reference in the construction and installation of padel courts.

The company closed its last financial year with a turnover of 20.6 million euros, maintaining the figures achieved the previous year, a year that was a turning point after the exponential growth of padel worldwide.

These circumstances led Padel Galis to make significant investments in 2022 in order to keep up with the growth achieved in recent years and also to overcome unforeseen events arising from global tensions in the logistics chain.

This difficult situation, including inflation in all construction materials, has not stopped Padel Galis from selling more than 70% abroad, with Northern Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Mexico being the main markets.

The entry of the Atitlan group as a reference shareholder in 2021 (70% share) has allowed the Valencia-based manufacturer to speed up its international expansion and improve its facilities. This commitment to professionalising its structure has led to an almost 50% increase in staff over the last financial year, to 88 employees.

In the immediate future, the most relevant project is the new manufacturing plant planned for 2024, which will expand production capacity to 6,000 courts per year, thus tripling the current volume and shortening delivery times. This expansion aims to meet the expansion plan for the coming years and to guarantee a service that is close to the client, thanks to the consolidation of long-term relationships with its international partners.

Padel Galis has completed different strategic agreements to consolidate its position as the court for professional padel players. The most noteworthy is the collaboration with Wilson to produce and supply the racket sports brand’s court, as well as the partnership with the Argentinean player Fernando Belasteguín (“Bela”), world number one for 16 years, as brand ambassador.

In this line, the company founded by Fran Pérez Galisteo has also formalised an agreement with the Professional Padel Players Association (PPA) to develop a court model together during 2023. This commitment reinforces its commitment to the innovation of new products, such as the creation of ultra-resistant courts for winds of up to 260 km/h, and to the growth in popularity of padel around the world.

Padel Galis is entering the Indian market, where it sees significant medium-term opportunities for growth. In order to do so, they have teamed up with the local sports facilities company, Go Sportz.

Based in Mumbai, GoSportz brings over 25 years of experience in the distribution and installation of sports complexes. Its group of brands includes leading racket sports companies such as Laykold (tennis) and ASB (squash). The agreement was signed by Go Sportz’s CEO & MD, Rehan Sumar, Padel Galis founder Fran Galisteo, and Padel Galis CEO Juan Larraz.

Go Sportz is part of the Aar Ess Group, renowned for its commitment to high-quality products and comprehensive customer service since its establishment in 1998. The company has experienced remarkable growth in the world’s most populous country by consistently staying ahead of the needs of an evolving market. “Since our inception, we have treated our customers as ‘partners.’ This, along with our customer-centric ‘360-degree consulting approach,’ has been key to earning our partners’ loyalty,” explained Rehan Sumar following the agreement.

Padel Galis and Go Sportz share the same vision and values when it comes to developing padel tennis in India.  Both are characterised by the quality of their products and services, the guarantees they provide, their meticulous project management from conception to installation, and the close relationships they maintain with their customers. “All of these factors have helped both companies build a reputation and, in our case, become global leaders in the design, manufacturing, and installation of padel tennis courts,” affirmed Fran Galisteo.

With a population of over 1.4 billion, India is “one of the Asian countries with the greatest growth potential,” explained Juan Larraz, “so this agreement strengthens our strategic development plan in the Southeast Asian region.”

In just one month, Padel Galis has assembled and disassembled the courts that have hosted the tournaments in Alicante, Vigo, Copenhagen, and Marbella.  A unique challenge that only Padel Galis could accomplish.

Padel Galis, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of padel courts continues to set the bar high in the sector. As official suppliers of the World Padel Tour courts since 2020, this 2023 season is getting better and better every day, due to the assembly required for the new layout for competitions on the professional padel circuit, as well as the demanding schedule.

From 27 April, when the TAU Cerámica Alicante Open 500 began, until 27 May, when the Cervezas Victoria Marbella Master was held, Padel Galis has been the company responsible for the installation of the 15 courts necessary to hold, in addition to these two events, the Estrella Damm Vigo Open and the Cupra Danish Padel Open. In one month, our group of trailers and vehicles, together with our teams of installers, have travelled almost 7,000 kilometres to have everything ready for each event of the most prestigious professional padel competition in the world.

In addition to the WPT Special Edition centre court, we installed two WPT Challenger courts at the Alicante Sports Technification Centre. In Vigo, where the start dates of the competition overlapped with those of the final rounds in Alicante, there were five courts, the centre court plus four additional courts located at the Instituto Ferial de Vigo. Just like the previous week, the qualifiers started in Copenhagen while the Vigo Open was finishing, where we went to set up three courts with an identical layout to the one in Alicante. Last but not least, Marbella awaited us. Perhaps the most iconic of the four, as the landscape of La Finca La Caridad would change completely with the installation of the four WPT Challenger courts and the spectacular WPT Special Edition as the centre court for the first outdoor event of the season in Spain.

A new operational challenge requiring sufficient muscle to mobilise heavy vehicles, a large team of professionals including and combining various installation teams, as well as a large number of courts and their components, allowing each installation to be assembled and disassembled in record time. And all of this was carried out with the utmost quality and assurances demanded by the venues where the World Padel Tour takes place.

The new Huracán courts from Padel Galis are able to withstand hurricane winds of up to 260 km/h, according to calculations based on Eurocode.

Padel Galis, a world leader in the design, manufacture and installation of padel courts is launching its new Huracán model on the market. As its name suggests, this new court is capable of withstanding hurricane winds of up to 260 km/h, similar to the speed reached by some high-speed trains. Such winds are characteristic of category 5, the maximum category on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.

This new Huracán court from Padel Galis has been designed to meet the needs of certain markets and/or clients who require technically demanding projects. We are talking about such markets as the USA (Florida), Mexico (the Caribbean region), Australia, Japan or the Philippines. Clients in these areas are very interested in panoramic padel courts that are able to withstand hurricane-force winds and torrential storms.

Padel Galis’ new panoramic model, the Huracán court, maintains the company’s hallmark attractive aesthetic, although its appearance does convey a sense of security in the event of severe weather conditions.

Designed and made of galvanised steel to withstand even the strongest winds, its structure is equipped with corner pillars, which guarantee the integrity of the structure throughout the panoramic glazed area. This same area has also been reinforced with a plate that makes it possible to include the client’s logo and to customise the court.

In addition, the entire structure has extra corrosion protection and is assembled with stainless steel fasteners. The oven-baked paintwork has been awarded the Qualisteelcoat® C4H and C5VH quality certificates (ISO 12944) and has an extra coat of primer. The straight light poles are solidly anchored to the structure.

This court is installed in exactly the same way as other Padel Galis models, much to the delight of our teams of installers, who apart from a few extra specifications, do not have to receive any extra training.

We are committed to innovation in product and in process management all the way from the initial commercial contact to our after-sales service. This approach allows us to offer unprecedented market delivery times and the highest quality standards in the design, manufacture and installation of padel courts worldwide.

Thanks to PPJ (ProPadel Japan Inc.), distributor of Padel Galis courts in Japan, the world-leading company in the design and manufacture of courts took part in a padel industry presentation in the Spanish embassy in Tokyo at the start of April.

On 4th April, Tokyo’s Spanish embassy held a presentation about the padel industry in Japan, hosted by the Spanish ambassador, Fidel Sendagorta Gómez del Campillo. Attendees included Koji Nakatsuka, president of the Japan Padel Association (JPA), Toshio Matsushima, director of the PPJ corporation (ProPadel Japan Inc.), and Juan Larraz, member of Padel Galis’ board of directors.

During his speech, Larraz expressed how pleased he was to be actively participating “in the growth that padel will be experiencing in Japan over the coming years.” “The Japanese market is just beginning to establish itself and has enormous potential: for 2026 we hope to see over 1,000 courts installed,” specified Larraz, who also represents the Atitlan investment group. Atitlan works across various sectors, focused on creating and consolidating long-term value.

Prior to the event, PPJ and Padel Galis signed an agreement making the Japanese firm the exclusive distributor of our company’s courts in Japan. “Thanks to the five-year contract signed with PPJ, Padel Galis continues its international expansion, moving into the Japanese market,” explained Juan Larraz. “The first Padel Galis courts will be en route to Japan by the start of August this year.”

Japan’s first padel court was built in 2013. Three years later, in 2016, the Japanese Padel Association was founded. In 2018, the Japanese women’s team participated in the World Cup for the first time. “But it was in 2020 that the Japanese really started to notice padel as a way of addressing their lack of exercise during lockdown,” explained PPJ’s director, Toshio Matsushima.

The growth of the sport in Japan shows no sign of slowing down in 2023. According to projections from the JPA, by the end of the year, the Japanese padel community will comprise 45,000 people, and this figure is estimated to double to nearly 100,000 by 2026.

The latest incarnation of Padel Galis’ Mundial court, the Mundial 160, incorporates a range of materials and component parts that make it stronger and more resistant in the face of winds of up to 160 km/hr.

Padel Galis improves the performance of its Mundial court. Without diminishing the aesthetic appeal of this panoramic court, the improvements ensure the structure can withstand winds of 160 km/hr, hence its name, ‘Mundial 160’.

Product description for the Padel Galis Mundial 160 court:

  • Internal dimensions: 20 (±0,5) m x 10(±0,05) m.
  • External dimensions: 20.5 (±0,5) m x 10.5 (±0,05) m.
  • Height of the enclosure: 4 m at each end, 3 m on each side, except for the 2 m adjoining the ends.
  • Glass perfectly aligned with the other elements of the enclosure to form a smooth profile.
  • Finish: Kiln-fired lacquer in a colour of the client’s choice.
  • Floor fixing: Screwed into the concrete using expansion anchors.
  • Lawn: Top quality textured lawns, including the Mondo (Oficial World Padel Tour) and our PG-5 model. Fibrillated and monofilament options are also available.

Additionally, the Mundial 160’s metallic structure is built with various materials and component parts that make it particularly resistant to high winds. For example, the 4m-high pillars at each of the court’s four corners. Made with 100x100x2mm tubing, they provide the structure with immense resistance and stability.

Another four pillars, this time measuring 3m and made of 200x80x3mm tubing, give the court increased structural strength. What’s more, the 3×2 modules are reinforced by 8 pillars, also measuring 3m. Made of 80x60x3mm tubing with anchor plates measuring 200x200x10mm, they are fixed together using metal jointing plates to maximise the resilience of the mesh area.

Lastly, the court features two buttresses, made with 80x80x3m tubing. Comprising an end and two sides measuring 10m and 4m in length respectively, they strengthen the frame, anchor the court to the ground, and provide support for the panes of glass.

The Padel Galis Mundial 160 court has 18 panes of glass measuring 2,995 x 1,995 mm: nine for each half of the court (five in the end wall and two in each side wall). This glass has been heat-treated to make it significantly more resistant (in comparison with untreated glass) to the changes in temperature and impacts which can be brought about by strong gusts of wind.

Padel Galis’ technical team is constantly investigating ways in which to develop the manufacture of our courts in response to varying wind pressures. Thus the design of the Mundial 160 court results in increased reinforcement and a more robust structure without renouncing its panoramic glass.

This makes the Padel Galis Mundial 160 the ideal outdoor court, capable of resisting not only the stresses of extensive play but also winds of up to 160 km/hr.

The Valencian company transported around 48 tonnes of elements and construction material to the Nasrid capital, and sent more than 20 people over two weeks to assemble and maintain the 5 courts that hosted the Cervezas Victoria Granada Open.

The WPT Granada Open, the first event of the new Open 1000 format of the World Padel Tour to be held in Spain, took place from 8th to 16th April. The 2023 season started with the Modon Abu Dhabi Master where Padel Galis was also the official court and, after the South American tour, the professional circuit arrived in Spain and, therefore, Europe for the first time with the WPT Reus Costa Daurada Open 500.

In Reus, Tarragona, Padel Galis was in charge of setting up the centre court and court two as the official supplier of the Open 500, which is run by the Ultimate Padel Company (UPC). However, it faced its first big challenge of the year in Granada.

The World Padel Tour’s new competition structure in national events required a 5-court facility to host the 150 competitive matches from qualifying, that is, from Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th, the day on which the finals were held.

These 5 courts were distributed in the three official venues of the Cervezas Victoria Granada Open: Granada’s Palacio de los Deportes, where the centre court was located; the Coliseo Ciudad de Atarfe, where courts 2 and 3 were located; and Paquillo Fernández Pavilion, where courts 4 and 5 were located. In terms of type: the centre court was an official WPT Special Edition court and the other four were official WPT Challenger courts.

To carry out the most ambitious installation in the history of a professional padel tournament, they moved the following from Valencia to Granada: 18,000 kg (18 Tn) of galvanised steel for the structure and grating; 20,000 kg (20 Tn) of tempered glass for the back and side walls; 9,000 kg of silica sand to lay and fix the carpet; more than 1,000 m2 of turf, not counting the walkways; and 3 litres of silicone, distributed in 100 cans.

Transporting huge amounts of material and construction elements posed a great logistical challenge, for which 6HGVs were used among other vehicles. On the days prior to the start of the competition and once it finished, a team of 20 people from Padel Galis were in charge of loading, unloading, transporting and assembling the courts in the different locations.

Accomplishing this type of challenge is only possible thanks to the efforts of the people who form part of the Padel Galis Group. People who strive to improve and advance in the professionalisation and specialisation of their work on a daily basis, striving for continuous improvement of processes and overcoming demanding product quality controls, especially the last year, after the exponential growth of sales in 2021.

In short, a deployment of material and human resources within the reach of few national and international padel companies. That’s why Padel Galis is the world leader not only in the design and manufacture of courts, but also in the installation and adaptation of the same to any setting.
