[edit]Hi Jeff, you are a native speaker, I'm not. During the past weeks and months we had an increasing number of DRs related to private property ("you are not allowed to photograph my house as I didn't give my permission to do so" or the like). Most of these DRs are from Germany and France. I'd like to create a subcat of Category:Deletion requests by specific subject to gather them. How could that cat be named properly? Cheers, Achim55 (talk) 15:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Achim55: The defense would generally be FOP. Aside from Category:FOP-related deletion requests/pending, Category:French FOP cases/pending, and Category:German FOP cases/pending (and related deleted/kept/undeleted) cats, I am unsure. Why do these homeowners think they need to be asked for permission? If privacy or GDPR, I suggest Category:Privacy-related deletion requests/pending be expanded by union then country, starting below Category:Homeowner privacy-related deletion requests/pending. Substitute "Tenant", "Landlord", "Caretaker", etc. for "Homeowner" as necessary. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 16:50, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- It's not a FOP problem as FOP implies a copyright issue what doesn't fit here. It's a kind of misunderstanding of their rights regarding information privacy. They think that they own the right to prohibit the publication just because they own a thing (house/car/boat/dog etc.). On dewiki a page de:Recht am Bild der eigenen Sache has been made to make it clear that there is no such right (at least in German-speaking countries). I thought of Category:Property-related deletion request or would that be misleading? --Achim55 (talk) 17:41, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Achim55: I think Category:Property-related deletion requests would be more acceptable. Reading that page through Google Translate, I think a new industry in photo permits may arise. :) — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 17:52, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Jeff, thank you very much, will do so. Achim55 (talk) 18:01, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

File:Volshebnoye Zerno - The Magic Seed (1942, silent).webm has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

wikimedia commons page
[edit]I am a bit confused and not sure if this person Deloar Akram (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Deloar_Akram) created the Wikimedia Commons page. It seems that after successfully creating this page, he might have created a Wikidata page as well. For the Wikidata page, it appears he misused the Google Search knowledge panel . He presents himself as a notable person, but he is actually not. I believe there are two reasons for this: self-promotion and lack of notability. Please look into this. https://www.google.com/search?q=islamic+university%2C+bangladesh+notable+alumni&oq=Is&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgAEEUYJxg7MggIABBFGCcYOzIGCAEQRRg7MgYIAhBFGDsyDwgDEC4YQxixAxiABBiKBTIGCAQQRRg9MgYIBRBFGDwyBggGEEUYPDIGCAcQRRg80gEIMTEyN2owajeoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Sonja1989 (talk) 15:21, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Sonja1989: DeloarAkram was blocked for a week here on Commons 06:49, 11 April 2020 (UTC) by NahidSultan for uploading copyvios, but appears to have learned from that. He is in the Global IP block exemptions group, the extendedconfirmed group on enwiki, and the autopatrolled, ipblock-exempt, reviewer, rollbacker groups on bnwiki. All of the Admins and higher level users that gave him those permissions can't be wrong. You are welcome to present evidence to Wikidata admins for deleting anything there, or to Admins anywhere for taking appropriate action. Photographers and subjects are permitted to create categories here for their photos and photos of them. Turning to your attempted edits, I regret to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/235 by attempting to repeatedly nominate for deletion a non-file page as a new user. Notability is not a valid criterion for deletion here. I suspect that you have a hidden agenda here. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 19:34, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

- @DeloarAkram: You're welcome. Now, you wouldn't happen to have a vindictive ex named Sonja born in 1989, would you? — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:26, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Jeff G. How can I do this? Can I open sockpuppet investigation against Sonja1989? DeloarAkram (talk) 20:29, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- @DeloarAkram: Yes, but you will need evidence to present at COM:RFCU. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:31, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Jeff G. Yes. I check his global account, but he made just 3 edit by this account. So I have no evidence for creating sockpuppet investigation. DeloarAkram (talk) 20:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
